AIS Hires Kees Breeuwsma as Vice President of Seating Products

HUDSON, Massachusetts – January 26, 2015 - AIS announces Kees Breeuwsma as Vice President of Seating Products. In this role, Breeuwsma will be working alongside Bill Stewich, Executive Vice President of Product Development, and the executive team to create a strategic seating portfolio demanding industry recognition.

Breeuwsma’s past work experience is notable and extensive, most recently holding the position of Vice President of Premium Marketing, International Office Seating Consultant and MMQB Contributing Freelance Writer. Breeuwsma held numerous executive roles both nationally and internationally at Teknion, Kimball and Steelcase. Breeuwsma is a graduate of Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and received in MBA from Michigan State University.

AIS Promotes Bill Stewich to Executive Vice President of Product Development

HUDSON, Massachusetts – January 26, 2015 - AIS announces the promotion of Bill Stewich to Executive Vice President of Product Development. In his new role, Bill will continue to design and develop AIS products, with a focus on broadening product offerings, and developing the AIS’s vision, implementation and profitability.

With AIS for 23 years, Stewich began his career at 1992 as Installations Manager. Stewich’s work at AIS spanned multiple disciplines, from installation to space design, sales and marketing. In 2003, Stewich was promoted to Vice President of Product Development and Engineering. Stewich flourished in this role, serving as a creative force behind AIS’ product design, including Matrix, Divi, Calibrate and Oxygen, which earned the ‘Best of NeoCon – Silver’ award for benching.

AIS Promotes Mike Sofos to Design Engineering Manager

HUDSON, Massachusetts – January 26, 2015 – AIS announces the promotion of Mikes Sofos to Design Engineering Manager. For the past eight years, Sofos has been an AIS design engineer and worked as a project manager for the Divi product line since its inception. Sofos will report directly to Bill Stewich, Executive Vice President of Product Development and oversee the responsibilities of the Design Engineering team.

Sofos began his career at AIS in 2005. Prior to AIS, Sofos worked as a mechanical engineer, product process engineer and mechanical designer. Sofos is a graduate of University of Massachusetts – Lowell and Technological Educational Institute of Athens (Gr).

“Mike has been an integral part of the AIS Engineering department for 8 years,” states Bill Stewich. “He is an excellent engineer and skillful project manager. Navigating product programs through the fast paced AIS process is not an easy task. These skills will serve him well in his new role.”

AIS Hires Casey Drake as Midwest Territory Manager

Hudson, MA - AIS announced that Casey Drake is the new Territory Manager for the Midwest territory, which includes Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas. Drake will be responsible for implementing selling strategies, generating opportunities, and leading business development activities within this market effective immediately. Drake has spent the last decade within the commercial interior industry as a sales manager for both Knoll and Shaw Contract Group. As Shaw’s Territory Sales Manager, Drake proved her business to business skills which earned her Shaw Industries’ most prestigious award for sales, the Circle of Distinction Award. While employed as Territory Sales Manager at Knoll, Drake was a top performer, focusing on securing the vertical healthcare and higher education market through A&D relationships. Drake helped to further support her sales team by leading and delivering presentations, factory tours and teaching CEU courses. Drake is involved with a number of professional group including SCUP, IIDA, and USGBC. She earned her Bachelors of Science from Washburn University and currently resides in Prairie Village, KS. “We are thrilled for Casey to join our sales team,” said Ben Maxwell, Senior Vice President of Sales. “She has already demonstrated that her work will be a tremendous asset; and she is receiving a very warm welcome from the AIS dealer community. AIS Awarded 2014 Best Booth at Annual OFUSA Tradeshow

Hudson, MA – AIS receives the Best Booth award at the 2014 OFUSA tradeshow. This award is presented by OFUSA and voted on by dealers attending the OFUSA tradeshow. AIS was one of 35 exhibitors striving for the Best Booth award. This year, OFUSA’s theme for their Nashville-based tradeshow was Country music. AIS Hires Brett Stortz, Associate Territory Manager of Sales - Midwest

Hudson, MA – April 24, 2014 – Brett Stortz has joined the AIS sales team as Associate Territory Manager for the Mid-West Region. Stortz comes to AIS from Global, where he served as a Showroom Manager and Product Specification Specialist.

Stortz will be working out of the AIS Chicago showroom and will be responsible for the continued development and support of the Midwestern market as well as supporting continued sales efforts within that region.

Stortz holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design.

AIS Hires Steve Husner, Vice President of Sales – Western Region

Hudson, MA – April 11, 2014 – Hudson, MA – AIS announces the hire of Steve Husner, VP of Sales – Western Region. Husner will lead dealer and A&D development for the Western Region of the United States, along with supervising and supporting the sales representation already in place. He brings over 10 years of sales experience, previously working for JANUS et Cie, K.I. and an Allsteel dealership.

Steve's vast experience with other major manufacturers, as well as his knowledge of our distribution partners, allows him to leverage experience and relationships as he continues the pattern of growth in the western region.
