We at Affordable Interior Systems, Inc. (“AIS” or “we” or “us") operate the website www.ais-inc.com (the “Website”). We have developed this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information we receive from users of our Website.  

This Privacy Policy, along with our Terms of Service governs your use of the Website. By using the Website, you agree to be bound by our Terms of Service as well as this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you visit our Website we will learn certain information about you. In order to provide you with the most efficient and enhanced personalized service and attention, and to accommodate certain requests you make, we request information about you in certain circumstances and collect certain information automatically.

a. Information Provided Voluntarily

  • Personal Information. You may be asked to provide personal information including your name, address, email address and phone number when you sign up for any of our newsletters, respond to an email, submit your resume, register for an event, attend an event, or call us or our employees.

  • Activity Info (Log Data). Information may be collected based on your use of our Website, which generally includes information about your computer hardware and software, such as: Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses; operating systems; browser types; device types; URLs, access dates and times; Website pages that you visit; referring website information; universally unique identifiers (“UUID”); advertising identifier (“IDFA”); carrier and country location; hardware and processor information; network type; and other related data.
  • Use of Cookies for Website Functionality.  Our Website may use cookies in order to deliver a better experience for you. Cookies are files with small amounts of data that a website stores on your computer’s or mobile device’s hard drive so that certain information about your visit and web-browsing preferences will be recognized upon a return visit. 2. How We Use and Share the Information

We use the collected Information to understand your needs to:

  • respond to your requests and provide customer service, including responding to any problems that may arise, such as difficulties in navigating our Website or accessing certain features;

3. Our Use of Cookies and Other Trackers.  Our Cookie Policy provides a complete list and ways to opt-out.

a. Essential Cookies.  Essential cookies make a website usable by enabling basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the website.  The Website cannot function properly without these cookies.

b. Analytics Cookies. Analytics cookies help website owners to understand how visitors interact with their website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. 

c. Social. Facebook Connect is a single sign-on application which allows users to interact on other websites, including our Website, through their Facebook account.

d. Advertising Cookies. As explained above, marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites, for the purpose of displaying ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for website publishers and third party advertisers. 

  • Retargeting and Remarketing.  We may, using the techniques described above, and in conjunction with third party marketing services, gather information from your visit to our Website for purposes of providing relevant advertising content about our products and services to you in the future. This means that through third-party marketing services or third-party websites such as Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn, we may display advertisements to you about our products and services, based on usage data collected during your visit to our Website. Google and other services for this purpose.
  • Behavioral Advertising.  When trackers are used to monitor your traffic across websites in order to discern your interests for the purpose of showing you ads from companies other than the website owners, this is behavioral advertising.  We allow service providers to track you when you visit our Website for the purpose of understanding your interests, so that they can show you ads for other companies on other websites.

To manage your receipt of newsletters, marketing, and non-transactional email messages from us, you may unsubscribe by clicking the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of those email messages.  

 

5. Use Caution When Sharing Information Online

When you voluntarily make your Personal Information available online in an environment shared by third parties – including in webinars, classes, online conferences, via email, on message boards, chat rooms or on blogs, or via telephone calls or conferences – that information can be viewed, saved, collected, heard, and/or used by others outside of the Company. We are not responsible for any unauthorized third-party use of information provided in these contexts. Please be mindful whenever you share any information online.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we incorporate standard industry practices internally and with our service providers, which we believe is sufficient for the information involved, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Because we work with third-party businesses and vendors in various aspects of our business, including operating our Website, database management, Website security, etc., we cannot guarantee the absolute security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the Information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet. Any information that you provide to us via email should be treated with extra caution, as we cannot control the level of security available through email providers.

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13 through our Website. If you are younger than 13, please do not give us any Personal Information. We encourage all parents to talk to their children about online safety and to monitor their children’s use of the Internet. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Information to us, please contact us, and we will make our best efforts to immediately delete that information from our databases.

Our Website and the servers that make our Website available worldwide are located in the United States. The Internet laws in the United States govern all matters relating to our Website. Any information you provide in subscribing to or visiting our Website will be transferred to the United States. By visiting our Website and submitting information, you authorize this transfer, processing, and use.

The Company may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as necessary to protect our users and to comply with a changing environment. Please review the Privacy Policy when you visit our Website to remain updated on our current policy. We have no intentions of making any changes to our Privacy Policy and practices to make them less protective of personal information collected in the past. By accessing our Website after we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, you are deemed to have accepted such changes. This California Privacy Notice supplements the information in our Privacy Policy above and applies solely to California residents. It does not apply to information we collect from job applicants or retain about our employees.

We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request, which may include, at a minimum, depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, verifying your name, email address, and physical address.
You are also permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf. In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.

d. Exercising Your California Rights

You may have the right to receive information about the financial incentives that we offer to you (if any). You also have the right to not be discriminated against (as provided for in applicable law) for exercising certain of your rights. Certain information may be exempt from such requests under applicable law. We need certain types of information so that we can provide our products and services to you. If you ask us to delete it, you may no longer be able to access or use our Website without providing the information again.

e. Do Not Sell My Info

Effective January 1, 2020, California residents may opt out of the “sale” of their personal information. Under the CCPA, “sale” is defined such that it may include allowing third parties to receive certain information, such as cookies, IP address, and/or browsing behavior, to deliver targeted advertising on the Website or other websites. We “sell” certain of your information to third parties for online targeted advertising purposes: demographic and statistical information, device information and identifiers, browser and usage data, geolocation, and social media information. If you would like to opt out of our use of your information for such purposes that are considered a “sale” under California law, you may opt out of analytics and advertising cookies using the tools described in our Cookie Policy.

f. California Shine the Light

California law permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, a list of the third parties to whom we have disclosed their ‘personal information’ (if any, and as defined under applicable California law) for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year, as well as the type of personal information disclosed to those parties.
